Dear Friend of Peninsula Bridge,
At Peninsula Bridge, we are changing the narrative for first-generation scholars from low-income backgrounds:
Year after year, our scholars achieve a 100% high school graduation and college acceptance rate;
100% of our class of 2024 high school graduates are college-bound this fall, enrolled at best-fit colleges and universities including UCLA, Lehigh, Bryn Mawr, USC, UC Berkeley and Bowdoin, just to name a few;
Our Class of 2024 college graduates are beginning their careers post-graduation at leading companies including Apple, FICO and Stanford University;
95% of our high school scholars are working in summer internships or volunteer engagements, or are enrolled in summer learning programs, gaining essential professional skills and academic experiences to prepare them for college and career success; and
Program wide, our scholars report feeling a strong sense of belonging, pride in their identity as first generation college-bound scholars, and a clear vision for their future.
With your help, we are bridging the gaps in academic achievement, college persistence, and career success, ensuring our scholars receive the support they need to succeed in middle school and college preparatory high school classes, gain admission to 4-year colleges, and graduate with experience and skills ready to launch meaningful careers.
On Thursday, November 7, we’ll come together to celebrate our scholars’ successes, honor our community and raise critical funds – more than 25% of our operating budget – at our Building Bridges2024 event. And we need your help. Early support at one of our Bridge Builder giving levels will create important community momentum and inspire others to give and attend. Will you join us at one of these levels?
Please join us today as a Bridge Builder by completing this form or responding with your desired level of support, and plan to bring friends to join you at a table (up to 10 guests) at this free event.* The event will be held on November 7, 2024, from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Grand Bay Hotel (Redwood Shores).
Thank you for helping us to create a more equitable and inclusive community on the Peninsula!
With gratitude,
Randi Shafton
CEO, Peninsula Bridge
*There is no cost to attend this event, nor is there any tangible benefit conferred for a Bridge Builder gift at any level.
